SQL Database Administrator

D A LABS is currently looking for a talented SQL database administrator to work on our FBI ESOC program. The ESOC is a unit within the security devision of the FBI, esponsible for FBI cyber defense. As a SQLserver administrator within ESOC a candidate would be responsible for day to day maintenance of SQLservers deployed within ESOC. Beyond the day to day duties as a SQLserver engineer a candidate will be exposed to some of the premier secuirty tools in use to protect the FBI information technology.

The job site is 935 Pennsylvania ave NW at FBI HQ. This DBA position requires 2 years specialized network IT experience. A Top Secret clearance is required and a counter intelligence polygraph will be required after starting.

Two years + experience with SQL server administration
Experience with active active SQLserver clustering
Extensive experience with SQLserver patching
Understanding of underlying storage technologies (SAN/RAID/LUN)
Ability to work independently
Capable of taking responsibility for database without hand holding
Ability to work with systems team to setup monitors for database
Capable of ensuring backups are configured, completed and tested


Our firm is a small business located in Arlington Virginia with contracts under the Department of Defense and Department of Justice. This DoJ FBI contract was just awarded in September 2015, and has four option years.
